We Are Hiring – Security Engineer

North West Alarm Systems is looking for a motivated Security Engineer to join our team. We specialise in the supply, installation, maintenance, and commissioning of:

• Intruder Alarms
• CCTV
• Access Control
• Door Automation
• Barrier & Gate Automation
• Fire Alarm Systems
• Fire Extinguishers
• Fire Suppression Systems
• Emergency Lighting
• Medical Call Systems

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, “can-do” individual to join our business and dynamic team of 20, spanning our Donegal Town and Letterkenny offices. Building on our continued success, we have several large-scale projects scheduled to commence in 2026.

Person Specification:

• Completed Electronic Security Systems Apprenticeship through ETB
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, and repair/replacement skills
• Knowledge of relevant standards & codes of practice (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation, and proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong English literacy
• Comfortable using mobile tools and apps
• Full clean Irish driving licence
• Experience with fire protection systems (fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, nurse call systems, fire suppression, etc.) is an advantage
• Background in electrical systems is desirable

Role & Responsibilities:

• Installation & servicing of Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Door & Gate Automation systems
• Ensuring all equipment is installed according to manufacturer specifications
• Testing systems to troubleshoot and analyse failures
• Providing feedback to management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and service improvements
